California Women Lead believes it is important to share information about how women can become more politically engaged. California Women Lead does not endorse these projects; it is for informational purposes only.
Message from the East Bay Chapter President
Dana Tsubota
Welcome to the East Bay Chapter of CA Women Lead! My name is Dana Tsubota and I am currently serving as President of the newly revitalized East Bay Chapter.

The East Bay Chapter covers a large geographic area. Our region includes what is commonly known as the "outer East Bay." The outer East Bay consists of the eastern portions of Alameda and Contra Costa counties and includes 5 distinct areas: Lamorinda (including the cities of Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda), Central Contra Costa County (including the cities of Walnut Creek, Concord, Martinez and Pleasant Hill), East Contra Costa County (including Pittsburg, Antioch, Brentwood, and Oakley), the Livermore Valley (including the cities of Dublin, Pleasanton, and Livermore), and the San Ramon Valley (consisting of Alamo, Danville, Diablo and its namesake, San Ramon).

The East Bay is a vast area with attendant social and political challenges. Women are stepping up to bring their unique perspective and problem solving skills into the political arena to help address these problems, and we are fortunate to have an array of knowledgeable, dedicated and driven women already serving as community leaders in the East Bay. The East Bay Chapter seeks to assist more women in achieving the goal of becoming a participant in local, regional or state government by (1) organizing trainings and workshops, (2) establishing a mentoring program, (3) holding networking mixers and dinners, and (4) connecting women with political resources for conducting their own campaigns.

We have a very committed and qualified Board of Directors whose passion is to assist women in their goals of achieving leadership positions within the region. Meet the CA Women Lead East Bay Chapter Board:
Vice-President: Ella Gower, Miller Starr Regalia
Secretary: Cheryl O'Connor, O'Connor Consulting
Treasurer: TBD
Members at Large: Judy Lloyd, Altamont Strategies, Candace Anderson, Danville Vice-Mayor, and Donna Kerger, San Ramon Planning Commissioner
