Message from the Los Angeles County Chapter President, Kimberly L. Quinones
Welcome to the Los Angeles County Chapter of California Women Lead. As President, I am proud to welcome you to California Women Lead, a nonprofit association of women holding, or interested in holding, elected or appointed office in the State of California. Our mission is to give California's women the tools they need to be successful in both their political and professional lives.
The Los Angeles County Chapter seeks to assist more women in achieving this goal by organizing trainings and workshops, holding networking events, establishing a leadership program, and connecting women with political resources for conducting their own campaigns.
We have a very committed Board of Directors whose passion is to assist women in their goals of achieving leadership positions within this vast region.

The Los Angeles County Chapter of California Women Lead held an outstanding event on Thursday, August 26, 2010, in honor of the passage of the 19th Amendment. Congresswoman Linda Sanchez and City of Whittier Mayor Pro Tem Cathy Warner were the honored speakers for the evening, these talented women spoke of their experience and challenges of running for elected office, and encouraged those in attendance to participate in leadership as well as seek an elected or appointed position. This event was held at the beautiful Vinatero's Wine Shop in uptown Whittier.
