It is an exciting time for women in Orange County and around California.

If you hold elected office, have been appointed to a government position, want to be elected or appointed, or just support women in government, come join us. We provide a fun and friendly forum for networking as well as nuts and bolts training and advice for women active in state and local government.

The Orange County Chapter of California Women Lead presents professor, author, and historian Dr. Glenna Matthews. Dr. Matthews is an expert on the history of women in politics. She is the author of five books including Running As A Woman, the standard work on the subject of women running for political office.

Dr. Matthews earned her doctorate in American History from Stanford and she has taught at Stanford, University of California's Berkeley and Irvine campuses, Oklahoma State University and Moscow State University in Russia.

We are delighted that Dr. Matthews has squeezed us into her busy schedule as she will be leaving shortly to teach again at the Moscow State University.
