Sacramento Regional Chapter Holds Successful Media 101 Roundtable
On Thursday, June 17 California Women Lead’s Sacramento Regional Chapter held an interactive luncheon panel, “Media 101: Using Media Effectively to Communicate Your Message.” The panel was comprised of top communication specialists and reporters who discussed their experiences in using social media and pitching mainstream media to effectively communicate messages. More than 40 attendees gained expertise in what worked and lessons learned during this year’s primary election. The luncheon, which was held at Chops Steakhouse, featured experts who discussed the best way to message specific situations and shared real-life examples of how to develop effective messages for the media and public.
Those who participated as panelists were: Marcey Brightwell, R&K Grayling Communications, Carla Marinucci, Senior Political Writer, San Francisco Chronicle, Julie Soderlund, Partner, Wilson Miller Communications and Deputy Campaign Manager, U.S. Senatorial Candidate Carly Fiorina.
