Announcing Lindsey Nitta as Executive Director

California Women Lead hires Lindsey Nitta to lead the organization

Sacramento, CA - California Women Lead is delighted to announce Lindsey Nitta as the executive director effective immediately. California Women Lead brings together elected and appointed women from different levels of government to build a robust pipeline of next women leaders in government. Even today, under-representation continues and women in California have not achieved parity. So our work continues. California Women Lead has members from all over the state, hosts training events statewide and has encouraged thousands of women to successfully run for office or apply for an appointment at the state or local level.

Lindsey’s professional achievements and personal commitments expose true passion and vision supporting women leaders across the State. Lindsey leads with determination to advance community and organizational transformation. Her extensive skills, experience, and ability to bring people together will ignite California Women Lead’s vision and ambition for the new decade.

“We are confident that Lindsey will lead us into a new era for the organization,” said Board President Mona Pasquil Rogers. “In 2020, California Women Lead is pushing forward with vigor and drive to reach equality in public representation.”

“I’m honored to be joining California Women Lead to continue and expand the organization’s incredible work,” stated the incoming executive director. “I look forward to collaborating with the Board and our amazing partners to relentlessly recruit and support women seeking appointments or running for office. We got to get to work. The time is now.”

Lindsey joins the organization ahead of the California Women Lead’s Annual Winter Reception. This year, the organization will be honoring the 55 fierce and fearless women Chief of Staffs in the State Legislature.
