LEADership Academy Kicks Off In Orange County

California Women Lead held a successful launch of the LEADership Academy for over 70 women last Friday at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel in Orange County.
Mona Pasquil, Appointments Secretary for Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. kicked off the day with a Civic Appointments Training.
Fullerton Councilmember Jennifer Fitzgerald hosted a panel discussion on creating a strategic campaign plan. Panelists included Newport Beach Councilmember and Former Mayor Diane Dixon, Kelsey Eiben: Digital Media Specialist from Venture Strategic and Theresa Sears, Community Engagement Director for Voice of OC.
California Women Lead CEO, Rachel Michelin facilitated a lunch time Leadership Self-Assessment for women to better understand their Leadership Style.
Mary Stutts from Comcast NBCUniversal presented information on how to successfully engage in a mentorship. Whether as a mentor or mentee, it is all about building a relationship and communication.
The day concluded with a presentation from Deborah Gonzales of the Public Policy Institute of California discussing California's Budget Process. The audience was able to ask questions and learn how the state budget relates to running for office and appointments.
