California Women Lead hosted another successful LEADership Academy for over 40 women on Friday, May 5th, at the Sacramento Meeting Place for the California Endowment.
President Cassandra Pye kicked off the day with an engaging presentation on Unconscious Bias.
Rachel Michelin, California Women Lead CEO, moderated dialogue among the attendees in a session titled “All Politics are Local.” This session allowed guests to better understand the political process and what motivates people.
As guests enjoyed a Cinco de Mayo themed lunch, Rachel held a Civic Appointment Training explaining the appointments process and how to navigate the application process.
California Women Lead was honored to have Secretary Marybel Batjer, Government Operations Agency, offer insight to the group on “How California Women Leaders are Changing the Rules.” The group took advantage of this opportunity to ask Secretary Batjer questions.
