CAWL Coffee Conversations with Board member Sabrina Demayo Lockhart
Join California Women Lead for our next Coffee Conversation on May 5 from 9:00 am to 9:30 am for Pushing Back on the Myth of Work-Life Balance with Board member Sabrina Demayo Lockhart.
For years, the professional world has chased "work-life balance" as if it were a scale to be leveled but it’s inherently unbalanced. This impossible pursuit often leads to frustration when one side inevitably outweighs the other.
Sabrina Lockhart found yoga at a time when she felt like she was on a hamster wheel – always moving but never going anywhere. Yoga helped her discover presence in a full life that is still a little messy.
This talk uses lessons from the yoga mat that can be applied to our daily lives. Sabrina will help participants understand how to shift the perspective from balance (a static, often impossible state) to integration (a fluid, intentional presence).
